Description

Ytterbium can be made into various forms: Ytterbium Foil, Ytterbium block, Ytterbium sheet, Ytterbium powder, Ytterbium sputtering target. It is not suitable to prepare Ytterbium by electrolysis, but by reduction distillation. Usually, Lanthanum is used as reducing agent, and the difference between Ytterbium high vapor pressure and Lanthanum low vapor pressure is used for reducing distillation. Ytterbium was extracted directly from Lanthanum by reduction distillation under high temperature and vacuum conditions of > 1100 ℃ and < 0.133Pa.
