High Purity 99.99% Samarium Chloride Hydrate SmCl3 6H2O CAS 13465-55-9
product detail
Name: Samarium chloride hydrate Molecular formula: SmCl3.6H2O
CAS: 13465-55-9 Molecular weight: 364.81
Description: Heating the hydrate of samarium chloride alone may result in hydrolysis of a small part of the product and loss of five water molecules at 110 ℃. Samarium chloride is a strong Lewis acid. If it is classified according to the theory of soft and hard acid-base, it is classified as "hard acid". Samarium Chloride is soluble in water and acid, slightly soluble in ethanol. A proper amount of samarium oxide is dissolved in an excess of 2mol / L HCl, further concentrated after a few hours of heating reaction, and the precipitated crystal is samarium chloride hydrate after a few weeks in a desiccator filled with anhydrous calcium sulfate.
