Cerium Chloride Hydrate CeCl3 7H2O CAS 18618-55-8 For Automobile Exhaust Catalyst
Feature
Name: Cerium chloride hydrate
Molecular formula: CeCl3.7H2O
CAS: 18618-55-8
Molecular weight: 372.58
Description
Heating the hydrate of cerium chloride alone may result in hydrolysis of a small part of the product and loss of water at 110 ℃. Cerium Chloride is soluble in water and acid, slightly soluble in ethanol. A proper amount of cerium oxide is dissolved in an excess of 2mol / L HCl, further concentrated after a few hours of heating reaction, and the precipitated crystal is cerium chloride hydrate after a few weeks in a desiccator filled with anhydrous calcium sulfate.
