Battery-grade lithium carbonate CLi2O3 CAS 554-13-2
Name: Lithium carbonate CAS: 554-13-2
Molecular formula: CLi2O3
Description: When carbon dioxide is introduced into the aqueous suspension of lithium carbonate, the lithium carbonate immediately transforms into acidic lithium carbonate and dissolves. If the solution of acidic lithium carbonate is heated, carbon dioxide is released again and lithium carbonate precipitates. This property of lithium carbonate can be utilized by to remove impurities. Due to the strong polarity of lithium ions, the thermal stability of lithium carbonate is slightly inferior to that of other alkali metal carbonates. When heated above its melting point, it will decompose, generating lithium oxide and carbon dioxide.
Packing: 1 kg or 5 kg per package, 50 kg iron drum, provide small package: 100g, 500g, and other small packages.
Used: In industry, lithium carbonate is used to produce other lithium salts, such as lithium chloride and lithium bromide. It is also used as the raw material for lithium oxide in enamel, glass, ceramics and glazes. It is also added to the electrolytic cells for aluminum production to increase the current efficiency and reduce the internal resistance and temperature of the electrolytic cells. In medicine, it is mainly used to treat mania and can improve the emotional disorders of schizophrenia. It has the effect of increasing peripheral white blood cells.
